The Wolverine Way
I have lost track of the number of times I have told traders to "MAKE YOURSELF STRONG."
There are five aspects to making yourself strong: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and technical. I will have a lot to say about each of each in future Trading Wisdoms. But, I thought today you might like to know which animal possess the best qualities to be a successful trader. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that it is the Wolverine. Yes, the wolverine!

The wolverine is the largest land-dwelling member of the family Mustelidae (animals such as minks, weasels, otters, skunks). For its size, the Wolverine is probably one of the smallest and most powerful top-of-the-food-chain predators.
The wolverine is noted for its strength, cunning, fearlessness, and voracity. It may follow traplines to cabins and devour food stocks or carry off portable items. The wolverine is a solitary, nocturnal hunter, preying on all manner of game and not hesitating to attack sheep, deer, or small bears. No animal except humans hunts the wolverine, and wolverines are now considered an endangered animal due to the destruction of their habitat and over hunting by fur traders.
If a wolverine was the size of a bear, it would be the strongest animal on Earth. They are strong enough to drag an animal carcass three times their weight for some distance.
Native Americans called it carcajou, a French corruption of an Native American word meaning Evil Spirit or Mountain Devil. The Wolverine is neither a spirit or devil.
Native Americans believed the Wolverine to possess magical powers. Wolverine's were considered:
Last phantom of the wilderness
Master of the Forest
Trickster hero
Magical link between the material and the spirit worlds
Native Americans praised the Wolverine for the following traits:
Standing their ground
Fierceness
Elusiveness
Cleverness
Strength
Endurance
Courage
Every successful trader has the qualities of a wolverine. Practice seeing them in yourself and putting them into action. You may be quite surprised at the qualities you find inside of you.
