It invests in securities of U.S. treasury and U.S. government agencies, mortgage-backed securities, obligations of state and political subdivisions, and other securities. As of June 30, 2005, Simmons First National Corporation operated eight banks that conducted financial operations from 78 offices, of which 76 were financial centers, located in 44 communities. The company was founded in 1903 and is headquartered in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
