The Capital Markets segment consists of equity and fixed income institutional sales and trading, investment banking, syndicate, structured products, and research. The company provides its services through retail sales network, brokers, and dealers. Legg Mason was founded in 1899 and is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.
