(TSI Holdings), through its subsidiaries, engages in the ownership and operation of fitness clubs in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. The company's fitness clubs also offer personal training services; fee-based programming, including programs targeted at children, members, and nonmember adult customers; and other facilities, including swimming pools, and racquet and basketball courts at certain locations. TSI Holdings operates its fitness clubs under the brand names, such as Boston Sports Clubs, New York Sports Clubs, Washington Sports Clubs, and Philadelphia Sports Clubs. As of December 31, 2006, the company operated 149 clubs, including 99 fitness clubs in the New York metropolitan market, 21 fitness clubs in the Boston market, 19 fitness clubs in the Washington, D.C. market, 7 fitness clubs in the Philadelphia market, and 3 fitness clubs in Switzerland. It served approximately 453,000 members in the United States. TSI Holdings was founded in 1973 and is headquartered in New York, New York.
