It also manufactures and sells dry and liquid agricultural nutrients; distributes agricultural inputs, including nutrients, chemicals, seeds, and supplies to dealers and farmers; and formulates anti-icers for road and runway use. The Rail group sells, repairs, reconfigures, manages, and leases railcars, rail equipment, and locomotives. The Processing group manufactures turf and ornamental plant fertilizer and control products for lawn and garden use, professional golf, and landscaping industries, as well as corncob-based products for use in various industries. The Retail group operates large retail stores, and a distribution center in Ohio. Its retail stores offer hardware, home remodeling, and lawn and garden products, as well as house wares, automotive products, sporting goods, pet products, bath soft goods, and food. The Andersons, Inc. was founded in 1947 and is based in Maumee, Ohio.
