These systems include Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) and Switched Bunch of Disks (SBOD) technology. It designs and manufactures three product lines of storage subsystems: JBOD Subsystems, SBOD Subsystems, and RAID Subsystems. Storage Infrastructure segment offers automated disk drive test solutions, servo track writing technology, and disk automation solutions for high-volume manufacturing environments. Xyratex markets its products to original equipment and disk drive manufacturers. The company was founded in 1966. It was formerly known as Xyratex Group, Ltd. and changed its name to Xyratex, Ltd. in June 2004. Xyratex is headquartered in Havant, the United Kingdom.
