The Lifeboat segment distributes technical software to corporate resellers, value-added resellers, consultants, and systems integrators. The company was founded in 1982. It was formerly known as Programmer's Paradise, Inc. and changed its name to Wayside Technology Group, Inc. in 2006. The company is headquartered in Shrewsbury, New Jersey.
