It also serves water customers in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Nonutility Energy segment designs, permits, builds, and owns power plants in Wisconsin Energy's electric utility service areas. It also involves in the development and marketing of renewable energy and recycling technologies. In addition, the company develops and invests in real estate. The company was incorporated in 1981 and is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
