Its seismic dampers ameliorates the effects of earthquake tremors on structures; fluidicshoks are small shock absorbers, which are primarily used in the defense, aerospace, and commercial industry; and crane and industrial buffers are used for industrial application on cranes, ships, container ships, railroad cars, truck docks, ladle and ingot cars, ore trolleys, and car stops. The company's self-adjusting shock absorbers are designed for high cycle application primarily in heavy industry; liquid die springs are used as component parts of machinery and equipment, which are used in the manufacture of tools and dies; and vibration dampers are used primarily by the aerospace and defense industries to control the response of electronics and optical systems subjected to air, ship, or spacecraft vibration. Taylor Devices sells its products primarily to industrial, steel mills, buildings, bridges, aerospace, defense, automotive industries, through its direct sales force and distributors in the United States and Canada. The company was founded by Paul H. Taylor in 1955 and is based in North Tonawanda, New York.
