The DSW stores offer brand name and designer dress, casual, and athletic footwear for men and women. DSW stores also offer handbags, hosiery, and other accessories. In addition, DSW also operates and supplies merchandise to 202 locations for other retailers in the United States. The Filene's Basement off-price department stores offer branded apparel, home goods, and accessories, including men's and women's apparel and shoes. The company operated 116 Value City stores in the midwest, mid-Atlantic, and southeastern U.S.; 26 Filene's Basement stores in the northeast; and 172 DSW shoe stores in various metropolitan areas, as of January 29, 2005. Retail Ventures is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Retail Ventures, Inc. is majority owned by Schottenstein Stores Corporation.
