The company's portfolio of software solutions includes in-store solutions, enterprise solutions, warehouse management solutions, and application service provider (ASP) and supplier solutions. The in-store solutions support various types of customer service points, provide in-store operational and management tools for POS, front-office and back-office operations, and allow mobile applications that enable in-store personnel to carry out back-office tasks using mobile computing devices. The enterprise solutions centralize operation and management of enterprise-wide and back-office activities, such as product and price management, promotions, merchandising, and reporting and analysis. These enterprise solutions also provide customer management tools and loyalty card-based marketing techniques. The warehouse management solutions provide warehouse management, automated procurement, merchandising, order management, invoice reconciliation, and yard and dock management. The ASP and supplier solutions offer solutions that provide retailers and their suppliers with the ability to exchange data and collaborate electronically on supply chain and merchandising decisions. In addition, Retalix offers project management, implementation, application training, and technical services, as well as development services, ongoing support, and product maintenance services. The company offers its software solutions to supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, fuel stations, and independent grocers through direct sales, distributors, and dealers. As of April 1, 2005, it installed its products in approximately 33,000 stores in 50 countries worldwide. The company was formed in 1982. It was formerly known as Point of Sale, Ltd. and changed its name to Retalix, Ltd. in 2000. Retalix is headquartered in Raanana, Israel.
