Grupo Radio Centro S.A. de C.V., through its subsidiaries, operates as a radio broadcasting company in Mexico. It engages in the production and broadcasting of musical and entertainment programs; daily news programs consisting of 3 minute updates and 10 minute summaries of local, national, and international news; interviews; and special event programs. As of December 31, 2004, the company owned eight AM and five FM radio stations, as well as managed and operated an additional FM station. As of the same date, it had 18 production studios and 13 on air studios. The company also operates a radio network in Mexico. In addition, it provides national sales representation and programming, including national advertising, as well as broadcast-related services to a network of affiliates via satellite. As of December 31, 2004, the company had 106 affiliates located in 74 cities throughout Mexico. It sells commercial air time to advertising agencies and directly to businesses. The company was founded by Francisco Aguirre J. in 1946 and is based in Mexico City, Mexico.
