The company operates in two segments, Electrical Products and Mechanical Products. The Electrical Products segment manufactures and markets commercial AC motors, HVAC/refrigeration motors and capacitors, AC generators, fuse holders, terminal blocks, power blocks, automatic transfer switches, paralleling switchgear and controls, and systems controls. Its capacitors are used in HVAC systems, high intensity lighting, and other applications, and generators are used in industrial, agricultural, marine, military, transportation, and other applications. The Mechanical Products segment manufactures and markets standard and custom worm gear, bevel gear, helical gear, and concentric shaft gearboxes; marine transmissions; after-market automotive transmissions, and ring and pinions; custom gearing; gearmotors; and manual valve actuators and cutting tools. Its valve actuators are used primarily in oil and gas, water distribution, and treatment and chemical processing applications, and high-speed steel and carbide rotary perishable cutting tools are used in metalworking applications. The company's customers include original equipment manufacturers, distributors, and end users. It operates in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, as well as in Europe and Asia. REGAL-BELOIT was founded in 1955 and is based in Beloit, Wisconsin.
