It also integrates software into the printers, copiers, and multifunction products of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Its products are used in monochrome and color printers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners; as well as in multifunction products that perform a combination of these imaging functions. The company sells its products directly to OEMs and through other distribution channels, including distributors, value added resellers, and system integrators. Peerless Systems sells its products principally in the United States and Japan. It has strategic partnerships with Adobe Systems Incorporated, Novell, Inc., and IBM. The company was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in El Segundo, California.
