It offers Obagi Nu-Derm System, a prescription-based, topical skin health system on the market that has been shown to enhance the skin's overall health by correcting photo-damage at the cellular level; Obagi-C Rx System, a combination of prescription and OTC drugs and adjunctive cosmetic skin care products to treat skin conditions resulting from sun damage and the oxidative damage of free radicals; and Obagi Professional-C products, a line of proprietary, non-prescription products, which consist of Vitamin C serums used to reduce the appearance of damage to the skin caused by ultraviolet radiation and other environmental influences. The company also offers Nu-Derm Condition and Enhance System for use in conjunction with commonly performed cosmetic procedures including Botox injections, and ELASTIderm product line, an eye cream for improving the elasticity and skin tone around the eyes; and markets tretinoin, used for the topical treatment of acne in the United States, and Obagi Blue Peel products, used to aid the physician in the application of skin peeling actives. It sells its products through its own domestic sales force and foreign distribution partners to plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and other physicians that are focused on aesthetic and therapeutic skin care. The company was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Long Beach, California.
