The company's airports serve various international routes, including Monterrey-Houston, Monterrey-Dallas, Monterrey-Chicago and Monterrey-Madrid. Its airports also serve other major international destinations, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and Las Vegas, as well as resort destinations, such as Acapulco, Mazatlan, and Zihuatanejo. In addition, the company's airports serve major domestic routes, including Monterrey-Mexico City, Mexico City-Ciudad Juarez, Mexico City-Acapulco, and Culiacan-Tijuana. The company operates 13 airports that are located in 9 Mexican states. As of December 31, 2006, approximately 20 international airlines and 14 Mexican airlines operated flights at the company's airports. As of the same date, its airports served approximately 11.8 million terminal passengers. In addition, the company engages in non-aeronautical activities, which include commercial activities carried out at its airports, such as the operation of parking facilities, advertising, and lease of space to retail store operators, duty free store operators, food and beverage providers, financial services providers, car rental companies, telecommunications providers, VIP lounges, advertising, travel agencies, time-share sales and promotions services, and tourist information and promotion services. Grupo Aeroportuario was incorporated in 1998 and is based in Apodaca, Mexico.
