Optibase, Ltd. provides equipment for a range of professional video applications in the broadband Internet protocol television (IPTV), broadcast, government, enterprise, and postproduction markets. It manufactures three product lines: Video Technologies, IPTV, and Digital NonLinear Editing. Video Technologies products include platforms that can be inserted into a host computer for encoding video into compressed digital formats and decoding compressed digital formats into playable video, and consist of encoders, decoders, and digital video broadcast interface platforms. In addition, the company offers content creation software applications, video streaming applications, and media gateways. IPTV products include carrier grade streaming media gateway products and suite of management solutions for controlling and monitoring the media gateway products. Digital NonLinear Editing products include professional video editing systems used to create video programming for broadcast, educational, and corporate uses. Optibase markets its products in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific directly and through independent distributors, system integrators, and resellers. The company was founded in 1990 under the name of Optibase Advanced Systems (1990), Ltd and changed its name to Opitbase, Ltd. in 1993. Optibase is headquartered in Herzliya Pituach, Israel.
