In addition, Nymox develops therapeutics for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease; treatments for benign prostate hyperplasia; and anti-bacterial agents for the treatment of urinary tract and other bacterial infections in humans, including a treatment for E. coli O157:H7 bacterial contamination in meat and other food and drink products. The company was founded by Paul Averback in 1989 and is based in St. Laurent, Canada.
