The company's primary services include wireless digital personal communications services (PCS); local and long distance telephone services; high capacity network services; and broadband Internet access, such as digital subscriber line (DSL) and dedicated access. Its wireline services include business and residential telephone services; primary rate ISDN services; domestic and international long distance services; and customer calling features, such as call waiting, caller ID, and voice mail. The company also provides Internet access and data services, including high-speed DSL access; broadband over fiber; portable broadband access; dedicated Internet access, Web hosting, local dial-up Internet access; integrated access; metro Ethernet; and hi-cap private line services. Its wireless services include voice and data products and services, including postpaid and prepaid plans to retail customers; and digital PCS services on a wholesale basis to other PCS providers. As of December 31, 2006, the company operated 45,281 rural local exchange carrier telephone access lines, and 46,781 competitive local exchange carrier telephone access lines, as well as 17,177 broadband access connections. NTELOS Holdings has a strategic network alliance with Sprint Nextel. The company was founded in 1897 and is headquartered in Waynesboro, Virginia.
