It was formerly known as Magyar Telekom Telecommunications Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Magyar Telekom Rt. in May 2005. Magyar Telekom is headquartered in Budapest, Hungary. Magyar Telekom Rt. is majority owned by MagyarCom Holding GmbH, as of March 31, 2005.
