The company also manufactures cables, backplanes, power connectors, and integrated products that are found in products ranging from electronic weighing stations to industrial microscopes and vision systems. Molex provides both connectors and custom integrated systems for diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used in hospitals, including x-ray, magnetic resonance imaging, and dialysis machines. The company sells its products to original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers, and distributors. It operates in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, and Europe. Molex was established in 1938 and is based in Lisle, Illinois.
