In addition, its products under development include Solazed, a radiotherapeutic for the treatment of malignant metastatic melanoma; MIP-220, a molecular imaging pharmaceutical product for detection of prostate-specific membrane antigen, which enables the detection and monitoring of prostate cancer; MIP-190 to assess the progression of heart failure through the monitoring of angiotensin converting enzyme in human hearts; and MIP-170D, a molecular imaging pharmaceutical compound to aid in the objective diagnosis of Parkinson's disease and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The company was founded in 1997 as Imaging Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. and changed its name to Biostream, Inc. in 1998. Further, it changed its name to Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 2003. The company is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
