The Operating Room Systems division supplies information and management software systems to hospitals for use in the operating room setting primarily in the United States. Its software provides scheduling tools and other important tools needed to capture and document the entire operating room event. The software also offers a database that can assist operating room management personnel with management tools, information, and reports that are needed to identify performance improvement opportunities. The company's systems comprise its proprietary application software, third party licensed software, and third-party computer hardware. It also sells implementation, training, and annual software support services with each software system. Mediware was incorporated in 1970 and is headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas.
