The company also provides research services, data, and analytic tools to institutional investors, and other credit and capital markets professionals. Moody's KMV segment develops and distributes credit assessment products and services for banks and investors in credit-sensitive assets, credit training services, and credit process software. The company maintains offices in 19 countries. Its customers include various corporate and governmental issuers of securities, as well as institutional investors, depositors, creditors, investment banks, commercial banks, and other financial intermediaries. Moody's Corporation was founded in 1900 and is headquartered in New York City.
