The Venues and Sponsorship segment principally involves the operation of venues and the sale of premium seats, national and local sponsorships, and placement of advertising, including signage and promotional programs, and naming of subscription series and venues. The Digital Distribution segment engages in the management of the company's third-party ticketing relationships, in-house ticketing operations, and online and wireless distribution activities, including the development of the company's Web site. The company also operates in the sports representation and other businesses. As of December 31, 2006, it owned, operated, or leased 94 venues and 49 facilities throughout North America, and 37 venues and 31 facilities internationally. The company was formerly known as CCE Spinco, Inc. and changed its name to Live Nation, Inc. in 2006. Live Nation is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California.
