Quicksilver has interests in Alberta Basin shallow gas sands in Alberta; New Albany Shale in Indiana/Kentucky; Antrim Shale, Prairie du Chien, Detroit River, Richfield, and Niagaran Reef properties in Michigan; Rocky Mountain properties in Montana and Wyoming; and other properties in Texas. As of December 31, 2004, Quicksilver Resources had estimated proved reserves of 968 billions of cubic feet of natural gas equivalent. It sells natural gas and crude oil to various customers, including utilities, oil and gas companies or their affiliates, industrial companies, trading and energy marketing companies, refineries, and other users of petroleum products. The company was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas.
