It manufactures military safe, arm, and fuzing devices for various missile and bomb programs; precision noncontact measuring systems for industrial and scientific use; and memory systems for airborne, shipboard, and ground-based programs. In addition, Kaman Corporation offers helicopter engineering subcontract programs for other manufacturers; and self-lubricating bearings used in aircraft flight controls, turbine engines, and landing gear, as well as power transmission couplings for helicopters. The company was founded in 1945 and is headquartered in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
