In hepatology area, it is developing once-daily Infergen in combination with ribavirin therapy for the treatment of patients suffering from chronic HCV infections; Infergen in combination with Actimmune, which is in Phase IIb clinical trial for the treatment of hepatitis C nonresponders; and PEG-Alfacon-1 that completed phase I clinical trial for the treatment of chronic HCV infections. In addition, the company evaluates Actimmune in patients with ovarian cancer in a Phase III trial. InterMune has collaboration and licensing agreements with Boehringer Ingelheim International GmbH; Maxygen Holdings, Ltd.; and Array BioPharma, Inc.
