Stock Profile
Input/Output, Inc. provides seismic data acquisition equipment, software, and planning and seismic processing services to oil and gas industry worldwide. It offers seismic acquisition imaging technology for exploration, production, and reservoir monitoring in land and marine, and shallow water and marsh environments. The company operates in four segments: Land Imaging Systems (LIS), Marine Imaging Systems (MIS), Data Management Solutions (DMS), and Seismic Imaging Solutions (SIS). LIS segment primarily provides VectorSeis data acquisition systems, which offer compression-wave data collection and shear wave multicomponent acquisition. MIS segment provides marine positioning systems that control the depth of the streamer cables and provide acoustic, compass, and depth measurements; data acquisition systems for collecting seismic data in marine environments; and source and source control systems for the use of initiating acoustic energy transmitted through the earth's subsurface. DMS segment primarily offers marine imaging product, SPECTRA a navigation and survey control system for streamer-based seismic survey operations; and seabed imaging product, GATOR, which provides real-time multivessel positioning and data management solutions for ocean-bottom, shallow-water, and transition zone crews. It also provides consulting services for planning and designing of 4-D survey operations. SIS segment offers survey planning and design, data collection management and processing, and image development; and survey design, project management, quality control, data preconditioning for imaging, and outsourced management of seismic data acquisition, as well as image processing services. It also offers processing and imaging services for land environments, which comprise specialized data processing and integration services. Input/Output was founded in 1968 and is based in Stafford, Texas.
