The Immersion Medical Segment provides medical simulation products, such as CathSim AccuTouch System, which simulates intreavenous catheterization and phlebotomy; Endoscopy AccuTouch System, which simulates endoscopy procedures; Endovascular AccuTouch System, which simulates endovascular interventions, including cardiac pacing and agiography, angioplasty, and stent placement; Laparoscopy AccuTouch System, a simulation hardware that can be integrated with third-party software for laparoscopic surgical procedure simulation; and the Hysterscopy AccuTouch System, which simulates hysteroscopy. The company sells its products through direct sales force, distributors, and value added resellers. Immersion has strategic relationships with AlPS Electronics. The company was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in San Jose, California.
