In addition, it originates mortgage loans, services nonprime loans, and sells and securitizes mortgage loans and residual interests. The loan servicing involves collecting and remitting mortgage loan payments, making required advances, accounting for principal and interest, holding escrow for payment of taxes and insurance, and contacting delinquent borrowers. Further, the company offers accounting, tax, and consulting services to middle-market companies. These services include wealth management, retirement resources, payroll services, corporate finance, and financial process outsourcing. H&R Block was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri.
