It owns interests in Elm Grove/Caspiana field in Bossier and Caddo parishes of north Louisiana; Terryville field in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana; the West Edmond Hunton Lime Unit in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma; Fayetteville Shale in Van Buren and Pope counties; Woodford Shale in Arkoma and Ardmore basins; and Lime wells and Travis Peak wells in east Texas. The company also owns interests in the Lions field in Goliad County, south Texas; Austin/Mission Rosario fields in Austin and Mission Rosario, south Texas; La Reforma and Nabors fields in Starr County, Texas; Gueydan field in Vermilion Parish; Winchester prospect in Wayne County, Mississippi; Waddell Ranch field in Crane County, Texas; the TXL field in Ector County, Texas; the Sawyer Canyon field in Sutton County, Texas; and the Jalmat field in Lea County, New Mexico. As of December 31, 2006, it had total proved oil and natural gas reserves of approximately 1,076 billion cubic feet of gas equivalent, consisting of 31 million barrels of oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids; and 889 billion cubic feet of natural gas. Petrohawk Energy was founded in 1997 and is based in Houston, Texas.
