The Flight Support Group segment designs, engineers, manufactures, repairs, and overhauls jet engine and aircraft component replacement parts, such as combustion chambers, compressor blades, vanes, seals, and various other engine and aircraft parts. It also manufactures specialty aviation and defense components as a subcontractor. The Electronic Technologies Group segment designs and manufactures commercial and military power supplies, circuit board shielding, laser and electro-optical products, infrared simulation and test equipment, and high voltage interconnection devices and cable assemblies, as well as repairs and overhauls aircraft electronic equipment. It also focuses on products that are placed in airborne, vehicle-based, or handheld targeting systems, as well as provides equipment used in the development, testing, and calibration of such systems. The company also offers hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical components for the aviation markets. In addition, it designs, manufactures, and sells advanced interface products that link devices, such as telemetry receivers, digital cameras, high resolution scanners, simulation systems, and test systems to various computers. The company sells its products through inhouse personnel and independent manufacturer's representatives. HEICO serves commercial and cargo airlines, repair and overhaul facilities, other aftermarket suppliers of aircraft engine and airframe materials, original equipment manufacturers, military units, and electronic manufacturing services companies, as well as medical, scientific, security, and other companies. The company was founded in 1949 and is headquartered in Hollywood, Florida.
