In addition, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company provides power transmission belts, hoses, and other rubber products for the transportation industry, and various industrial and chemical markets, as well as synthetic rubber and rubber-related chemicals for various applications. Further, the company operates commercial truck service and tire retreading centers; and auto service center outlets. The company was founded by Frank Seiberling in 1898 and is headquartered in Akron, Ohio.
