Drew Industries Incorporated, through its wholly owned subsidiaries, supplies components for recreational vehicles (RV) and manufactured homes in the United States and Canada. It operates through two segments, recreational vehicle and leisure products segment (RV segment) and manufactured housing products segment (MH segment). The RV segment manufactures and markets primarily travel trailers and fifth wheels, including aluminum windows, screens, various doors, steel chassis, steel chassis parts, RV slide-out mechanisms and related power units, electric stabilizer jacks, as well as bath and shower units for manufactured and modular homes. The MH segment manufactures and markets various components for manufactured homes and, to a lesser extent, modular housing and office units, including vinyl and aluminum windows and screens, thermo-formed bath and shower units, steel chassis and steel chassis parts. It also manufactures specialty trailers for equipment hauling, boats, personal watercraft, and snowmobiles. As of December 31, 2004, the company's subsidiaries operated 50 plants in the United States and one in Canada. Drew Industries was incorporated in 1962 and is based in White Plains, New York.
