| DynCorp International, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides defense, technical, and government outsourced solutions worldwide. The company operates in two segments, Government Services (GS), and Maintenance and Technical Support Services (MTSS). The GS segment provides international policing and police training, judicial support, and immigration support. This segment also provides security and personal protection for diplomats; designs, installs, and operates security systems; and develops security software, smart cards, and biometrics. In addition, it provides peace-keeping support, humanitarian relief, de-mining, inventory procurement and tracking, property control, and data entry services. Further, this segment provides facility and equipment maintenance; control, custodial, and administrative services; civil, electrical, infrastructure, environmental, and mechanical engineering; construction management; drug eradication; host nation pilot; and crew training services. The MTSS segment provides aviation services and operations, such as aircraft fleet maintenance, depot augmentation, aftermarket logistics support, aircrew services and training, ground equipment maintenance and modifications, facilities and operations support, and aircraft scheduling and flight planning; aviation engineering, including engineering design, kit manufacturing, installation, configuration management, avionics upgrades, cockpit and fuselage redesign, and technical data; and drawings and manual revisions. This segment also provides aviation ground equipment support services, including maintenance and overhaul, modifications and upgrades, corrosion control, engine rebuilding, hydraulic and load testing, and serviceability inspections; and scheduling and work flow management services. The company serves the U.S. Departments of Defense and State, government agencies, foreign governments, and commercial customers. DynCorp International is based in Falls Church, Virginia. |
