Cascade Microtech also offers analytical probe models primarily for engineering test; and production probe cards, which are used in the production testing of wireless chips, high-speed logic chips, automotive chips, parametric test, analog chips, and broadband and telecom chip. In addition, the company provides application software and services, as well as software packages that integrate the control and data-management functions of wafer probing test systems and to analyze and report wafer data. Cascade Microtech sells its products primarily through a combination of manufacturers' representatives, distributors, and direct sales people to semiconductor manufacturers, test subcontractors, research organizations, and designers in the North America, Asia, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The company was co-founded by Eric W. Strid and K. Reed Gleason in 1983, and is headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon.
