As of December 31, 2007, it owned or leased a portfolio of 60 natural gas-fired power plants and 17 geothermal power plants with approximately 24,000 megawatts of generating capacity. The company was founded in 1984 and is based in San Jose, California and has an additional office in Houston, Texas.
