Central Parking Corporation operates parking facilities under management contracts, leases, and fee ownership. As of September 30, 2005, the company operated 1,671 parking facilities under management contracts and 1,548 parking facilities under leases, as well as owned 180 parking facilities either independently or through joint ventures. As of the above date, Central Parking operated 3,399 parking facilities containing 1,564,356 spaces located in 37 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Spain, Germany, Poland, Greece, and Switzerland. The company serves market segments, including airports, hospitals, hotels, mixed-use facilities, municipalities–off-street parking, municipalities–on-street parking, office buildings, stadiums, and toll roads. Central Parking Corporation was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee.
