The company was founded in 1985. It was formerly known as Quartet Management, Ltd. and changed its name to Health Care Products, Inc. in 1987; to Celltech Media, Inc. in 1994; to Smartel Communications Corporation in 1995; to Intasys Corporation in 1996; and to Mamma.com, Inc. in 2004. Further, the company changed its name to Copernic, Inc. in June 2007. Copernic is headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
