The Technical Polymers Ticona segment develops, produces, and supplies a portfolio of technical polymers, which include polyacetal, UHMW-PE, liquid crystal polymers, and polyphenylene sulfide fortron for use in automotive and electronics products, as well as in other consumer and industrial applications, often replacing metal or glass. The Acetate Products segment primarily produces and supplies acetate tow used in the production of filter products, and acetate filament, which is used in the apparel and home furnishing industries. The Performance Products segment, operating under the trade name of Nutrinova, produces and sells sweetener and food protection ingredients, such as sorbates, for the food, beverage, and pharmaceuticals industries. The company primarily operates in North America, Europe, and Asia. Celanese Corporation is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
