Bristow Group, Inc. provides helicopter services to the offshore energy industry worldwide. It operates in two segments, Helicopter Services and Production Management Services. The Helicopter Services segment charters helicopters to transport personnel from onshore bases to offshore drilling rigs, platforms, and other installations. As of March 31, 2007, it operated 345 aircrafts; and its unconsolidated affiliates operated additional 143 aircrafts. This segment provides its helicopter services to major, independent, international, and national energy companies. It also offers flight training services. The Production Management Services segment serves as an independent contract operator of oil and gas production facilities in the United States Gulf of Mexico. As of March 31, 2007, it managed or had personnel assigned to 319 production facilities in the United States Gulf of Mexico. This segment offers various services, which include furnishing production operations personnel, engineering services, production operating services, and paramedic services; and providing marine and helicopter transportation of personnel and supplies between onshore bases and offshore facilities to independent oil and gas companies. Bristow Group also handles regulatory and production reporting for some of its customers. The company was incorporated in 1969. It was formerly known as Offshore Logistics, Inc. and changed its name to Bristow Group, Inc. in 2006. Bristow Group is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
