The Software segment offers software for manufacturing execution system for tracking the movement of production wafers in a fabrication, and managing the data and actions for every wafer, equipment, operator, and other resources in the fabrication; factory logistics applications, such as simulation, scheduling, and dispatching; connecting and integrating equipment with factory management systems; process control; and data analysis and management for factory and enterprise performance monitoring. The company serves semiconductor chip manufacturers; original equipment manufacturers; nonsemiconductor customers; and companies operating in liquid crystal display, data storage, and other similar industries in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Brooks Automation was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
