It operates in four segments: Marine Engine, Boat, Fitness, and Bowling and Billiards. The Marine Engine segment consists of the Mercury Marine Group and Brunswick New Technologies operations. The Mercury Marine Group offers outboard engines, stern drive engines, and inboard engines, as well as water-jet propulsion systems and parts and accessories. Brunswick New Technologies engages in the manufacture and marketing of engine electronics and controls, as well as other marine technologies, including navigation systems, chart plotters, telematics, and global positioning systems. The Boat segment designs, manufactures, and markets fiberglass pleasure boats; high-performance boats; offshore fishing boats; and aluminum fishing, deck, and pontoon boats. The segment also owns and operates marine parts and accessories distribution and manufacturing businesses. The Fitness segment designs, manufactures, and markets fitness equipment, including treadmills, total-body cross trainers, stationary bikes, and strength-training equipment. These products are sold primarily to health clubs, military, government, corporate, and university facilities, and to consumers through specialty retail shops. The Bowling and Billiards segment designs, manufactures, and markets bowling capital equipment, and associated parts and supplies, including lanes, pinsetters, automatic scorers; bowling balls and other accessories; and billiards, air hockey, and foosball tables and accessories. It also operates bowling centers. The company sells its products primarily through distributors, dealers, and retailers worldwide. Brunswick Corporation was founded in 1844 and is headquartered in Lake Forest, Illinois.
