It also provides in-store services, including computer set-up, repair, and software installation, as well as the installation of mobile electronics; and in-home services that comprise computer set-up, repair, software installation, and home networking, as well as delivery and installation of appliances and home theater systems. As of October 25, 2005, Best Buy Co. operated approximately 840 retail stores in the United States and Canada. The company was founded by Richard M. Schulze. It was incorporated in 1966 as Sound of Music, Inc. and changed its name to Best Buy Co., Inc. in 1983. Best Buy Co. is based in Richfield, Minnesota.
