The ophthalmic products include AMVISC and AMVISC Plus product line, CoEase, STAARVISC-II, and ShellGel. Its injectable ophthalmic viscoelastic products are molecular weight HA products used as viscoelastic agents in ophthalmic surgical procedures, such as cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation. The company operates in the United States and Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, and other European countries, Turkey, and parts of the Middle East. Anika Therapeutics was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts.
