The company's customers include local and long-distance telephone companies, private enterprises that operate their own networks, cable television operators, wireless service providers, new competitive service providers, broadcasters, governments, system integrators, and communications equipment manufacturers and distributors. ADC Telecommunications was founded in 1935. It was formerly known as Magnetic Controls Company and changed its name to ADC Telecommunications, Inc. in 1985. ADC Telecommunications is headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
